H.323 Service Provider
Configuration Datafill

This configuration datafill applies to our VTA1000 Gateway and VPT1000 IP-Phone products using the H.323 service pack image. The information was correct at the time it was posted but is subject to change at any time outside our direct control.

To make changes to the configuration data, simply right click on the little red phone call progress icon located in the lower right side of your computer screen and select "Account" from the pop-up menu. Set the fields exactly as described below for your service provider's network.

Special Instructions for Users Behind Router NAT/Firewalls
If you are sure you have correctly datafilled the product for use with your provider and you are not able to place calls or cannot hear the person you are calling AND you see the note "You are Behind a NAT/Firewall" in a pop-up message you are very likely to be behind a H.323 non-friendly router and it is blocking the incoming messages. To solve this problem, you will need to put your computer's private IP address in your router's DMZ. To obtain your computer's private IP address go to Start>Run and enter "command /k ipconfig" and follow the instructions for your router to enable this IP address in the DMZ. Once you get your calls working you may try installing an H.323 friendly router or enable the firewall built into Windows XP if you wish to do so.
